Technical Support Engineer

The Technical Support Engineer position is currently fully staffed, but Zumasys is continuously accepting applications from exceptional people interested in becoming a part of our team.

With an emphasis on infrastructure solutions and support for our clients, your responsibilities will include providing technical support via telephone, remote session, or occasional onsite field service visit.

Most troubleshooting and solutions will require strong knowledge of Microsoft, Citrix and VMware-based solutions.  Engineers at Zumasys are also expected to bring a solid overview perspective to all technical issues, embrace cross-platform and legacy environments, and collaborate with other team members to achieve a high level of customer satisfaction and innovation.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and provide technical support for existing customers
    • This may include after-hours support as needed
  • Provide technical support onsite in the field (client locations) as needed
  • Maintain required level of knowledge on company-offered solutions including the completion of assigned courses and relevant certification exams.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and advancements within existing technologies
  • Enter all time worked into CRM on timely, and at least weekly basis. This includes relevant expenses.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, MIS, related field, or equivalent experience
  • Proven customer service/support skills with internal and external customers
  • Strong technical generalist. Skilled in technical analysis, troubleshooting, and problem resolution skills
  • Datacenter Infrastructure

    • Storage – NetApp, Nimble, Pure Storage

    • Citrix
  • Experience utilizing ConnectWise a plus.
