Allen Ratcliffe

MultiValue Software Support Engineer   949 334 0382

Although he has lived in California since 1995, Allen still has trouble with the language. Born and raised in South London, when Allen talks about playing “football” he really means “soccer.” A die-hard English soccer fan, Allen still follows his hometown team, the Crystal Palace Football Club from South London. And every Sunday, you’ll find Allen on the field playing defense for a competitive soccer league here in Orange County.

While Allen’s love for soccer goes back to his childhood, his passion for IT stretches back just as far. Allen recently joined Zumasys as a D3 Support Specialist, bringing with him more than 30 years of database experience and a patent for the design and creation of the XML database. Allen began his work with Pick databases soon after finishing school in London. After bouncing between Boston and London, he finally settled in sunny California, where he put his talents to work for companies such as Sequoia, GA, and TigerLogic.

Allen’s other passions include skiing, scuba (he recently passed his PADI certification), music, and hogs. No, not pigs—motorcycles. So when he’s not managing your D3 database or playing “football,” Allen is probably out on his Harley Davidson Fat Boy going for a weekend ride. Ask him about his trip to the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally in South Dakota.

How does what you do benefit customers? D3 databases are used in a wide variety of industries. My experience with D3 means that my customers don’t have to be experts in the technology and they can concentrate more of their resources on their core business.
