As a Zumasys technical support engineer, Dustin Smith helps customers implement new IT solutions and resolve issues. Dustin’s passion for helping people coupled with his deep technical expertise make him a perfect fit for the Zumasys team.
After attaining a B.S. in Management Information Systems from Point Loma Nazarene University in San Diego, Justin worked as a help desk technician at Orange County Reprographics (now ARC Reprographics) where he managed, repaired, and replaced IT infrastructure for more than 800 users.
Before joining Zumasys, he spent seven years as a systems administrator at Pathway Capital Management in Irvine, managing a VMware environment of over 100 Windows and Linux virtual machines. Dustin was also instrumental in migrating the company’s email server to Office 365 and the implementation and design of a disaster recovery plan and colocation model.
Outside of work, you’ll find Dustin pursuing his passion for cooking. Obsessed with cooking the perfect meal, he enjoys researching recipes and trying new techniques. He thinks the best thing he ever cooked was a tri-tip steak seasoned with Argentinean marinade accompanied with a chimichurri sauce, kale quinoa salad, and roasted red garlic potatoes.
