Zumasys, Inc. Gains Compaq Authorization - New Partner to Provide Single Source for Proliant Servers & Operating System Support

Zumasys, Inc., a national solutions integrator and a member of the Citrix Solutions Network, today announced the addition of Compaq to its list of authorized vendors.

Under the terms of the agreement, Zumasys, Inc. will sell and support the complete line of Compaq Proliant servers and Fibre Channel disk arrays.

Zumasys is unique in that it will integrate Compaq Proliant servers with all three major Intel-based operating systems (Windows NT, Unix and Linux) and back them up with low cost 5:00am-5:00pm PST operating system support. The telephone support contracts, which start at $625, are currently available for Red Hat Linux 6.2 & 7.0, Windows NT 4.0, Windows 2000 Server, Citrix MetaFrame 1.8, SCO OpenServer 5.06 and SCO UnixWare 7. The company also offers telephone support contracts for selected relational database products.

Compaq Proliant servers offer an unmatched level of performance and scalability and they are used by a wide variety of enterprises, said Paul Giobbi, Zumasys President. Zumasys will integrate Compaq servers in its advanced integration lab in San Clemente, CA. The facility features 10 separate cell-based integration stations, all with dedicated power circuits, high-speed LAN access and wide-area Internet access. Customers can verify settings remotely and participate in the integration process, providing them with a server configured to their exact requirements.

Compaq Proliant servers scale from one to 32 Intel processors and are available with 7x24 national on-site service, which makes them the natural choice for growing organizations, said Giobbi. We are delighted to offer this prestigious computing platform.
