Our People
Born and raised in San Diego, Paul began his technology career at age 11 testing Wyse terminals for a family business that sold manufacturing software based on the Microdata platform. As the family’s business interest transitioned into trade shows and magazines for the Multi-Value and Unix computing markets, Paul entered sales and worked full-time while attending San Diego State University, eventually becoming the VP of Sales for International Spectrum. After getting married, Paul and his wife Tiffaney relocated to Houston in 1995 and joined Jones Business Systems (JBS), a software distributor and four-time Inc. 500 company. In 1997, Paul led JBS’ acquisition of Orion Pacific Technologies where he would meet Joe Cupp, his future business partner.
In 2000, Paul moved back to Southern California and organized a buyout of the Enterprise Systems Division of JBS, which is now Zumasys. Originally founded in the small beach town of San Clemente, Zumasys has generated revenue increases in 10 out of its 11 years in business. Zumasys appeared twice on the Inc. 5000 List of America’s Fastest Growing Companies as well as the Deloitte Technology Fast 50, CRN Fast Growth 100 and the Orange County Business Journal’s 100 Fast Growing Private Companies.
Zumasys provides cloud computing and infrastructure technology solutions to more than 1,800 customers across the United States and Canada. Paul resides in San Clemente with Tiffaney, their two sons and their Golden Retriever.
