ROEL Construction, who migrated onto the Zumasys Hosted Platform in March of 2010, submitted their Cloud Computing project to the AGC San Diego Chapter for consideration in the annual “Excellence in Technology” Award and won. This project involved the migration of 20+ servers and over 5 TeraBytes of data out of their San Diego office and into the Zumasys Cloud Hosting environment. This provided redundancy and disaster recovery capabilities for all their core systems. It also enabled ROEL’s employees to more easily access their core systems like Citrix, Email and many others. This project provided better reliability and stability to their aging server systems while saving the company quite a bit of money on infrastructure upgrades. Below is a link to a joint press release we did with ROEL on their use of our Cloud Services.
“I’d like to thank the entire IT Team for their help to make this project a reality,” says Kevin Fitzpatrick, Director of IT at ROEL Construction. ”Moving to Cloud Computing has enabled us to continue providing our team the best service that they deserve.”
