IRVINE, CALIFORNIA – June 22, 2015 – Zumasys, a leading provider of cloud computing solutions for business-critical ERP systems and custom applications, announced today that it has been named to the 2015 Best Places to Work in IT list by IDG’s Computerworld. Zumasys ranks #19 among small organizations on the list and is one of 100 top organizations that challenge their IT staff while providing great benefits and compensation. Zumasys will be included in coverage in Computerworld along with results from the 22nd annual Best Places to Work in IT survey.
“This is our first time on the Computerworld list, and we are ecstatic to be recognized,” says Zumasys President Paul Giobbi. “Companies of all sizes are discovering that giving back is not only good for the recipient, it is good for the giver. Our employees feel connected to Zumasys because we care about what they care about, and we support their personal passions in addition to their professional endeavors.”
In 2014, Zumasys evolved its Happyness Is a Choice program to reach new levels of engagement. The program combines volunteering opportunities with the company’s mission to give away 1% of its revenues to nonprofit organizations nominated by Zumasys employees, customers and vendors. With more people getting involved through nominations and volunteer opportunities, the program is having a ripple effect throughout the company’s entire network.
In the highly-competitive technology industry, competitive compensation is not enough to retain great technical talent. Zumasys Engineers appreciate their compensation and their incentives, but it’s not what drives them to be at their best each and every day. They are at their best because they feel appreciated and they understand how their efforts and results contribute to the company’s strategic objectives. They understand that when Zumasys produces great results as an organization, the organization can continue to invest in its unique culture and offer benefits that are unheard of, like the International Travel Incentive. In this program, 4-6 employees per year are paid $4,000 to travel somewhere outside of North America. The only requirement is that they share their amazing experience with the company when they return. Employees have traveled to all corners of the globe and have come back energized and even more committed to their profession.
