January 7, 2020 is Pick Date 19000. That’s more than 52 years of PICK and counting! For more than half a century, developers working in MultiValue have worked with internal dates with an epoch date, Day 0, of December 31, 1967.
To celebrate Day 19000, an updated version of the MultiValue Family Tree poster is now available from pickmultivalue.com where it can be downloaded immediately or ordered in print form. This special edition poster incorporates “Pick Date 19000” in its copyright.
LIST PRODUCTS WITH MULTIVALUE.QUERY.LANGUAGE
The result of this hypothetical query is pictured on the poster, highlighting the versions developed from scratch. Additional interviews and research, as well as graphic redesign, went into producing this new version of the poster.
Dawn Wolthuis, Tincat Group, says “we did more rounds of interviews and zeroed in on knowing which products were developed from scratch. I will grant that I extended a measure of grace when considering UPIX. Stories abound in this poster.”
Special thanks to all of you who have sent in suggestions for changes, who have given us interviews, have responded in group forums, or who have otherwise participated in helping make this community asset more accurate and useful over time. Special thanks also to those involved in the graphical redesign.
The poster is a living document, and we request suggestions for improvement. Enthusiasts with knowledge of the industry are welcome to share their ideas at pickmultivalue.com, where you can download or request a copy of the poster today.
