Meet Tyler Hansen: Bringing Real-World ERP and AI Experience to Rover ERP

When you’ve been on both sides of an ERP implementation—the customer side and now the consulting side—you see things differently. That’s exactly what makes Tyler Hansen, Rover ERP’s newest Implementation Engineer, such a powerful addition to our team.

From Warehouse to Technology Leadership

Tyler’s journey didn’t start in a tech office—it began in the warehouse of a Midwest distributor. Over six years, he worked his way up through counter sales, inside sales, and IT, eventually becoming Director of Technology.
That hands-on experience gave Tyler a rare, 360-degree view of what it takes to run a business—from managing inventory and serving customers to keeping critical systems online. “I got to see the entire gamut of what it takes to run a distribution business,” he says. “That’s helped me understand how to apply technology in a way that actually makes a difference.”

From ERP End User to Implementation Expert

Tyler’s first exposure to ERP came when his company decided to migrate from a legacy system to a modern platform. The project was massive, and the responsibility fell to a small team.
“They basically said, ‘Here’s this system—figure it out,’” Tyler recalls with a laugh. “So, I did. I worked directly with engineers, learned how everything connected, and helped lead the rollout across multiple branches.”
That experience—leading an ERP implementation from the inside out—gives Tyler a deep empathy for Rover customers today. “I’ve been on the other side during an ERP implementation,” he explains. “I know what it’s like to be the person trying to make this all work. That perspective changes everything.”

Using AI to Empower Everyday Users

While managing the ERP rollout, Tyler quickly saw the challenge of training and supporting users across multiple locations. That’s where he began experimenting with AI to simplify onboarding and support.
“With such a small team, we didn’t have time to visit every branch or answer every question in person,” he says. “So we built AI assistants right into the ERP. They lived inside the system and helped users get answers instantly—almost like having a virtual trainer by your side.”
The result? Faster adoption, less friction, and more confident employees. “Seeing people go from frustrated to empowered was incredible,” Tyler says. “That was the moment I realized how transformative AI could be inside ERP.”

Real Experience. Real Results.

For Tyler, AI isn’t a buzzword—it’s a tool he’s already proven in the field. “When I talk about AI now, I’m not selling something theoretical,” he says. “I’ve lived it. I’ve seen how it saves time, supports teams, and helps small and midsized companies capture and share knowledge that used to live in just one person’s head.”
And that’s exactly what excites him most about joining Rover ERP. “I think the next couple of years are going to be huge,” Tyler says. “AI is going to unlock capabilities that used to be out of reach for smaller businesses. It’s going to give power back to the people who build and make things every day.”

A Shared Mission

At Zumasys, we believe in helping hardworking manufacturers and distributors gain clarity and control through technology that simply works. Tyler’s hands-on experience, practical mindset, and passion for empowering others embody that mission perfectly.
From implementing ERP systems to leveraging AI for real business impact, Tyler’s approach is grounded in one thing—helping people work smarter.
“The best technology isn’t about replacing people,” Tyler says. “It’s about freeing them up to do what they do best.”
Welcome to the team, Tyler. We’re thrilled to have you leading the next chapter of innovation for Rover ERP and our customers.
