A Junior Software Developer at Zumasys works across the entire technical stack for various software applications, building professional experience and enhancing their skillset along the way. These employees work closely with the existing application development and support teams to triage support and development requests from inception through the entire software development lifecycle. Additional responsibilities include maintaining documentation, participating in software application roadmapping and other team and organizational focused initiatives.

Tasks

• Assist in triaging support requests that require development escalation
• Work on both front and back-end code for software applications
• Participate in weekly team stand ups and software planning meetings
• Maintain relevant documentation for applicable software applications

Knowledge

• Good working understanding of at least two programming languages
• Some experience working with at least one database technology
• Familiarity with REST APIs
• Agile Software Development
• Software Version Control (Git) & Documentation (Markdown)

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
  OR
• Two (2) years of relevant field experience
